4 FAST QUALIFIERS POST 4-SECOND LAPS IN

‘ERNIE BOSE WORLD RECORD RACE” QUALIFYING

This past weekend’s “Ernie Bose World Record Race” at the Orange Show Speedway in San Bernardino, Calif. lived up to the pre-race hype as four of the USAC .25 Midget fast qualifiers posted laps in the four-second bracket. The event was presented by USAC, Hoosier Tires and the Haas Foundation.

Keith Zimmerman of Torrance, Calif. followed his 4.678-second lap with a victory in the Light AA feature. Bryant Dawson of Phoenix, Ariz. posted a 4.787 in the Light B category but finished second to Zimmerman in the feature. Heavy AA winner Austin Reay of Moreno Valley, Calif. posted a 4.906, while Dylan Attridge of Alta Loma, Calif., who finished second to Dawson in Light Mod, posted a 4.977.

Other class winners during the weekend racing action included Brayden Trigueiro of Caruthers, Calif., who earned titles in Heavy Mod and Heavy B, Cole Custer of Ladera Ranch, Calif. in Senior Stock and Light World Formula, Dylan Attridge in Light 160, Dean Thompson of Yorba Linda, Calif. in Junior Stock, Dylan Walker of Billings, Mont. in Heavy World Formula, Jaydon Shafer of Claremont, Calif. in Senior Honda, James Turnbull of Indio, Calif. in Junior Honda, Tylar Herron of Joshua Tree, Calif. in Heavy Honda, Zachary Scarberry of Foothill Ranch, Calif. in Junior Rookie and lady pilots Tiffany Rose of Chatsworth, Calif. in Senior Rookie, Molly Putnam of West Hills, Calif. in Heavy 160 and Christine Breckinridge of Irvine, Calif. in Junior Half.

NC Chassis, fielding five of the 19 fast qualifiers, earned the #1 Engine Builder in the Country Award, while Al Hawkins, who built four of the 19 fast qualifiers, earned the #1 Engine Builder Award.

All Fast Timers received a clock plaque and Main event winners also were presented the coveted USAC medallion, emblematic of their victory. Participation awards were designated for every driver, with main event trophies for the top four finishers in each main event.
